As always, a very interesting series of programs. I love to learn about music from them.
But, I have been having issues with Stokowski's transcriptions of Bach's music. First: if Bach wanted to orchestrate his organ pieces - he would have done it himself (did he?). There was a reason that he did not do it. Second: in my opinion - nobody should try to improve on a genius (like Bach). It is sacrilegious. Third: Stokowski's transcriptions lack the spirit of music and the spirit of time, and are awful in my opinion.
Thanks

I enjoyed your development of the Quaker "Simple Gifts" into Aaron Copeland's Appalachian enlargement. I expected you to continue with "The Lord of the Dance," which Revels includes in its Christmas programs in Houston every year.
It is a logical but dramatic change from "Turn, turn, turn" to "Dance, then, wherever you may be, for I am the Lord of the Dance said he...."
Could you include "he Lord of the Dance" in a program later this week?

You do a lot of good programming, so much I expect you to be perfect.
Thank you.
