7 pm on WRR 101.1 (Dallas) is my sacrosanct time for listening to Exploring Music. Love it!
I would love to hear a program 'exploring' some of the great composers (rarely heard) who had the misfortune of living in the shadow of the gigantic composers. I have been getting acquainted with some really great Finnish composers that lived during the 'reign' of King Sibelius. Palmgren, Merikanto, Kuula, Madetoja and others. Salem Palmgren, in particular, has some really great music. I'm sure there are other great composers who have had the same fate.
