I hear enthusiasm for the subject, music, finely calibrated to radio. It is pleasurable listening to warm intelligent appreciations. The program sequences, Viennese, Dvorak and so on are varied, and well chosen. Your cheerful modestly tuned enthusiasm is durable. Thank you.

Connections and biographical vignettes: these are what are fascinating and so compelling in your broadcasts. Thank you for being such a great teacher of musical history from a human perspective.

Dear Mr. McGlauhlin,
I truly enjoy your current program on Vienna and its musicians, but the editor of your program needs to be spanked.
* Gothic was not an architectural style that had churches built to be dark; quite the opposite and similar to baroque churches - plenty of light.
* I am sure you know: in music just as in philosophy, literature and other fine arts Baroque precedes classical period and they are not quite the same.

Cheers
Chris

Thanks
Chris
