Thank you for your week of seasons and for focusing in particular on Haydn's *Seasons*. In my humble opinion, it is Haydn's masterwork -- even more so than *The Creation*. Whereas everyone expected Haydn to produce a masterpiece based on Genesis, *The Seasons* was based on popular British poem which few Germans knew. Haydn was thus free to find religiosity in all aspects of nature.
