Last night Bill was explaining the opening chords of an Impressionist string quartet. He plays the progression at the piano and I say out loud, "Dude just played Miles Davis!" Then Bill says, "If you alter the rhythm like this, it sound like 'So What' by Miles Davis." Needless to say, Miles was added to my playlist right away!
