From The Top
Sundays at 7:00 pm
As a national showcase for young musicians, From the Top shines a light on diverse young people ages 8 to 18 by sharing their stories and performances, providing scholarships, and engaging them as leaders in national broadcasts, live concerts, and other events across the country.
With host Christopher O’Riley as their guide, these musicians are role models for all ages, proving the value of hard work in the pursuit of art. With From the Top's support, these impressive young people are inspiring and building audiences with a new appreciation for classical music.
About Chris O'Riley
Musician, composer, and radio host Christopher O’Riley lives by the Duke Ellington adage, “there are only two kinds of music, good music and bad.” Genre distinctions are not foremost in his life as a professional musician. As recitalist, soloist, and conductor his programs embrace a multitude of styles and genres from pre-Baroque to compositions of the present day. As arranger, he continues to craft works from Bach organ pieces to opera scenes to Piazzolla tangos to songs by Radiohead.
