      Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra

      Among the finest orchestras in the country, the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra is the largest cultural organization in the state of Wisconsin. From its founding in 1959, the MSO consistently wins critical acclaim; today reaching new heights under the baton of music director Edo de Waart, a conductor who leads orchestras from Bayreuth to Covent Garden to the Chicago Symphony Orchestra to the Berlin Philharmonic.

      The orchestra’s 88 full-time musicians perform more than 140 concerts each season. A cornerstone organization in Milwaukee’s arts community, the MSO provides enrichment and education activities for audiences of every age and background.
