      Wednesdays at 8:00 pm

Among the finest orchestras in the country, the Milwaukee Symphony is the largest cultural organization in Wisconsin. Since its founding in 1959, the MSO has consistently received critical acclaim for artistic excellence. Today, the orchestra continues to reach new heights under the baton of its sixth music director, Edo De Waart. In addition to his present position with the MSO, Maestro De Waart is conductor laureate of the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic, an artistic partner of the St Paul Chamber Orchestra, and chief conductor-designate of the Royal Flemish Philharmonic.

The orchestra’s 88 fulltime professional musicians perform more than 140 concerts each season. A cornerstone organization in Milwaukee’s arts community, the MSO provides enrichment and education activities for audiences of every age, economic status, and background. The 2012 radio season is co-hosted by WFMT’s Dennis Moore and Edo De Waart. The producer is Jesse McQuarters.
