One of the world's leading performing arts festivals, The Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival
is known for its enduring commitment to tradition, artistic excellence, innovation, and vision.
Our weekly radio series reflects the Festival's varied repertoire by presenting superbly
recorded concerts and recitals by some of today's greatest musical artists. With two to four
performances per program, there's lots of great music. In addition to the great classics
of the chamber music repertoire, the series will also offer someoutstanding, though lesser
known works.
Performers include pianists Yuja Wang, Marc Neikrug, Anne-Marie McDermott, Inon
Barnatan, Marc-Andre Hamelin and Shai Wosner; cellists Sophie Shao, Nicholas Canellakis,
Lynn Harrell, Timothy Eddy, Peter Wiley, Ida Kavafian, Eric Kim and Peter Stumph; violists
Steven Tenenbom, Milena Pajaro-van de Stadt, Teng Li, Brett Dean, Lily Francis and Michael
Tree; clarinetists Todd Levy and Ricardo Morales; violinists William Preucil, Benny Kim, Bella
Hristova, Jennifer Frautschi, Giora Schmidt, Todd Phillips, Lily Francis, Daniel Phillips, L.P. How,
Ida Kavafian, Kathleen Brauer and Soovin Kim; Horn players Julie Landsman and Philip Myers;
flutist Tara Helen O'Connor; oboe player Liang Wang; Soprano Susanna Phillips; tenor, Jorge
Prego; Marji Danilow, bass; harpsichordist Kathleen McIntosh; and the Orion, Miró and Opus
One string quartets.
Each concert was recorded by Grammy award-winning engineer, Matt Snyder. The Santa Fe
Chamber Music Festival Artistic Director, Marc Neikrug, and WFMT program host, Kerry
Frumkin, co-host this dynamic series, which also incorporates remarks by many of the
musicians. Louise Frank is the series producer.
