Volunteer with WFMT

General Information

Our seasonal Membership Drives are key to the success of 98.7WFMT's mission. Volunteering for these drives can be a great way to meet new people or bring together a group of friends, business colleagues, or community groups in support of 98.7WFMT. Volunteer opportunities are always available to answer the busy phones during our Membership Drives. For more information, please send inquiries to the WFMT Volunteer staff.

Dates

Membership Drives are held in April and November. The next pledge drive will be Tuesday, April 2 through Thursday, April 18.

Times

Membership Drive days usually begin at 6:00 am and go until 7:00 pm. Membership Drive shift times for the upcoming drive in April are now available.

*While shift times usually remain as stated, they may at times vary and change depending on programming. All volunteers should remain at 98.7WFMT throughout their shift time. Prompt arrival is important.

Parking

Free parking is available in the WTTW11/WFMT parking lot.

Dress Code

It can get chilly in the studio, so we recommend bringing a sweater or jacket.

Training

We require all new volunteers to attend an orientation/training session.

Age Requirements

All participants must be at least 16 years of age. Organizations that have youth members must supply a chaperone and can volunteer during any shift time. Youth individuals may volunteer, but can do so only during the morning and/or afternoon shifts because of curfew laws.

Company/Group Recognition

Groups will receive on-air mentions during their Pledge shift.

Group Size

Groups can range in size from 5-10.
