      Live from Quebec City A 400th Anniversary Celebration

      Saturday, March 15 beginning at 6:30 p.m. on 98.7WFMT

      CHICAGO, IL - March 15, 2008 - During 2008, Quebec City, one of the oldest permanent settlements in North America is marking its 400th anniversary. One of the centerpieces of the cultural celebration will take place this Saturday, March 15 as Maestro Yoav Talmi will lead 1,000 artists including his own Orchestre Symphonique de Québec along with multiple orchestras, a massive chorus and eight vocal soloists in a performance of Mahler's 8th Symphony - the Symphony of a Thousand.

      Quebec City's Colisee Pepsi is the site for this very special performance and 98.7WFMT and the WFMT Radio Network will be there to broadcast it all live, along with a little of the local color and history from Le Belle Province. WFMT's Lisa Flynn will host the broadcast, beginning at 6:30 p.m. C/T on Saturday, March 15. The entire concert can also be heard as it happens, via WFMT's enhanced web streaming at wfmt.com.
