WTTW11 Documentary Internship

Documentary: DuSable to Obama: Chicago's Black Metropolis DuSable to Obama: Chicago's Black Metropolis documentary celebrates the remarkable history of Chicago's African-Americans using the stories of everyday men and women as a springboard to discover this community's rich past. Scheduled for broadcast in late Spring 2010.

General Information

  • This internship requires a Spring 2010 commitment.
  • We prefer interns who can be available for the majority of a 9-5 business day on a combination of weekdays (M/W/F or T/Th).

Requirements

  • A student must be a sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student in good standing at an accredited college or university.
  • Interns should have excellent research, writing and communication skills, be mature and proficient on a computer, resourceful, mature and professional.
  • Knowledge of TV production is helpful but not required.

Description
Interns will be a part of the WTTW production team and be involved in one or all of the following: conducting research, logging tapes, going on field shoots, transcribing interviews, finding archival photos and footage, gathering and developing web content, and assorted administrative tasks.
