Millennium Park will start to look an awful lot like the Emerald City this summer when the Grant Park Music Festival screens this pioneering Technicolor classic. Dorothy, Toto, the Cowardly Lion, the Scarecrow, and the Tin Man’s trevails will be projected over Jay Pritzker Pavilion; on the stage below, the Grant Park Festival Orchestra gives Herbert Stothart’s iconic music the full-orchestra treatment.
July 10 at 8:00 pm at Jay Pritzker Pavilion. $26–99 seats, lawn free. Link.
