Highlights from one of the country’s leading baroque ensembles
Join WFMT for these highlights from past Music of the Baroque seasons, selected by the Chicago-area ensemble. Led by music director Jane Glover and principal guest conductor Nicholas Kraemer, the ensemble will perform works by Bach, Handel, Haydn, Mozart, and others, recorded in several local performance venues.
Pulpit and Playhouse
From 2019: Music of the Baroque principal guest conductor Nicholas Kraemer leads a program of music written for the chapel or for the theater.
War and Peace
From 2015: Music director Jane Glover leads a choral program of music by Haydn and Handel.
Telemann’s ‘The Day of Judgment’
From 2017: Music director Jane Glover conducts Telemann’s resounding oratorio with vocal soloists Krisztina Szabó, soprano; Thomas Cooley, tenor; Roderick Williams, baritone; and Ying Fang, soprano.
