Shakespeare, William (1564-1616). This week, Bill has programmed musical adaptations of Shakespeare's works for the stage and screen. The queue includes a suite from Mendelssohn’s "A Midsummer Night’s Dream," excerpts from Walton’s "Henry V," song settings by Vaughan Williams and Purcell, and musical versions of "Romeo and Juliet" by Bernstein, Tchaikovsky, and Prokofiev.
