WFMT is Chicago’s largest classical music platform, reaching hundreds of thousands of classical music lovers around the world every week on the air and online. Join us as we bring classical music and radio to new audiences. We’re inviting classical artists, ensembles, and presenting organizations to apply for a three-to-four-month residency with WFMT. Your residency could include:
- Live and recorded broadcasts from WFMT’s Levin Performance Studio
- Live and recorded broadcasts in and around Chicago
- Videos, podcasts, and other interactive media to host on WFMT.com
The possibilities are limitless, though proposals must present ideas to engage new radio audiences and must also consider more than typical concert / interview formats.
In July 2016, WFMT will select finalists from among applications submitted using the form below. Online voting will continue through the summer of 2016. Two resident ensembles or organizations will be selected in 2016 for residencies to take place in 2017. For eligibility requirements and additional information, click here.
