Brazil: Baroque to Classical
During its colonial times, Brazil was a very wealthy area of the Portuguese empire. And supported a very fruitful musical scene. Fiesta presents music composed in Brazil during the 18th and 19th centuries by composers such as Luis Alvares Pinto, José Mauricio Nunes García and Sigismund von Neukomm.
The Turinas: A Family Affair
The well-known Spanish composer Joaquín Turina is also the grandfather of another fine musician, the living composer José Luis Turina. “Fiesta” presents a selection of music coming from these two generations of the Turina family.
