Discover a rising classical music star in the making at the Crain-Maling Foundation Chicago Symphony Orchestra Young Artists Competition! This year’s competition, emceed by WFMT host and producer Michael San Gabino, will feature four young finalists, all string musicians, as they perform works by Sibelius, Koussevitsky, Beethoven, and Tchaikovsky accompanied by the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. The winner will have the opportunity to perform with the CSO and will be invited to perform on a live edition of WFMT’s Introductions.
This is a free event, but tickets must be reserved online in advance at cso.org.
