Quattro Voci is the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra’s Principal Player string quartet.  Consisting of violinists Shannon Kollasch (17) and Isabella Spinelli (16), violist Kayla Cabrera (16), and cellist Timothy Edwards (17), this group of CYSO section leaders lives up to the meaning of its name– “four voices” in Italian– by combining technique, passion, musicality, and energy in one versatile ensemble.  Quattro Voci has performed at many occasions, such as weddings, corporate dinners, memorials, and recitals.  Recently, the group opened for the acclaimed Orion Ensemble at PianoForte studio.  In addition, the group has played with and been coached by the world-renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma.  Meeting weekly, the quartet is coached by violinist MingHuan Xu.  When they are not intently rehearsing at Roosevelt University, they enjoy transposing classic pieces as a group and exploring the endless possibilities of metronome apps.
