As we approach the winter solstice, the nights grow longer and the moon becomes so bright that the sky seems to sparkle in its glow. Night sounds also become clear and close in the cold winter air. Composers love capturing these sounds and reflecting them in their music. This week, in an homagé to Jane Yolen’s Owl Moon, voices fade away into the musical dreams of a winter night.
