On Saturday’s broadcast, we feature the Asrai Quartet. Their members include 17-year-old violinist Rabia Brooke, 16-year-old violinist Eva Nicholson, 17-year-old violist Margaret O’Malley, and 16-year-old cellist Camille Toubol.

Asrai Quartet won first prize at the 2018 Discover National Chamber Music Competition in Highwood, Illinois. The members of the quartet have won awards from the Musicians Club of Women, Society of American Musicians, Curtis Institute of Music, Chinese Fine Arts Society, DePaul University,
Merit School of Music, Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra, and Enkor, among others.

The ensemble will also play and work with award-winning Chicago-based composer Stacy Garrop. They have been invited to perform at the Pilgrim
Chamber Players Stars of Tomorrow Series, and they will also collaborate with Fifth House Ensemble at the Fresh Inc. Festival.

They are coached by Desirée Ruhstrat of the Grammy‐nominated Lincoln Trio.
