Just as Joaquín Rodrigo’s music has been overshadowed by the extraordinary success of Concerto de Aranjuez, the composer Blas Galindo has experienced the same fate because of his Sones de Mariachi. This program focuses on the monumental work of Galindo as a symphonic composer as well as the author of some delicate and delightful chamber pieces.
