The Choir of Trinity College in Melbourne, Australia, has offered a Service of Lessons and Carols during Advent since the 1970s, in the form developed for King’s College, Cambridge. Many of the works on this new album were first performed by the Choir, or were written specially for Trinity’s Christmas services. “Beneath the Incense Tree” presents works inspired by the three joined seasons of Advent, Christmas, and Epiphany.
