After five years, bass-baritone Bryn Terfel returns with the new studio album, “Dreams and Songs.” Acclaimed worldwide for tackling the biggest opera roles, Terfel’s new album shows his lighter side with popular concert pieces recorded in new orchestral versions of traditional Welsh songs, musical hits, and beloved encores. Among the pieces on his new album are “If I Were A Rich Man” from “Fiddler on the Roof,” the Welsh folk song “Ar Lan y Môr,” and the Irish ballad “The Fields of Athenry.”
