Mexican composer José Pablo Moncayo is widely known because of his symphonic work: “Huapango”. This arrangement of folk music has become so popular that it has become a second Mexican anthem. However, Moncayo has many other works more ambitious and of a larger scale than the delightfully orchestrated “Huapango”.
