On Saturday’s broadcast, we feature four pianists from 88Keys to Cure. 88Keys is a student-led non-profit that is dedicated to enhancing the lives of others through music. Founded as a part of Sueanne Metz’s piano studio, the organization hopes to bring people and communities together through music.
Student musicians organize benefit concerts to raise funds for organizations throughout the Chicago area, including the Robotic Surgery Lab at the University of Illinois at Chicago and the Evangelical Covenant Church Domestic Disaster Relief Fund to support the victims of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.
This edition of Introductions will preview 88Keys to Cure’s annual benefit concert, which will take place on Saturday, June 22 at 7:30 pm in Nichols Concert Hall in Evanston. 88Keys will raise funds to benefit Monster Education Foundation and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago.
