On Saturday’s broadcast, we feature the Parquarious Winds of the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra (CYSO). The quintet was formed in Fall 2018. In addition to playing on regular CYSO recitals, the group performed at a Chamber Showcase recital at PianoForte and performed with the Orion Ensemble. As representatives of the CYSO Ambassadors Program, the group gave performances at two Chicago Public Schools in March 2019.

Their members include 17-year-old flutist Emma Krause of Downers Grove (Downers Grove North High School), 17-year-old oboist Oliver Talukder of Glenview (Maine East High School), 18-year-old clarinetist Madison Childs of Yorkville (Yorkville High School), 16-year-old bassoonist Abigail Lopez of Aurora (West Aurora High School), and 18-year-old horn player Madeline Grenier of Valparaiso, Indiana (Valparaiso High School).

The program also features an encore selection performed by the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra.
