With Die ZauberflöteThe Clemency of Titus (La clemenza di Tito) was one of the last two operas Mozart completed — it premiered less than two months before the composer’s untimely death at age 35. This performance of Mozart’s final opera seria features tenor Russell Thomas in the title role, with a supporting cast of soprano Guanqun Yu (Vitellia), mezzo-soprano Elizabeth DeShong (Sesto) and soprano Janai Brugger (Servilia). The performance is conducted by LA Opera music director James Conlon.
