Gil Shaham, Grammy award-winner and Musical America’s 2015 “Instrumentalist of the Year,” performs two of the greatest violin concertos – the works by Brahms and Beethoven. Shaham partners with the Brooklyn-based ensemble The Knights, conducted by Eric Jacobsen, musicians with whom he feels fortunate to collaborate on a regular basis. This is Shaham’s first solo release in almost five years and his first recording of the Beethoven Violin Concerto.
