Monday, August 9 — Rush Hour Concert
The International Music Foundation’s acclaimed series of Rush Hour Concerts presented Ars Musica Chicago on July 27 at Saint James Cathedral. Violinist Kiyoe Matsuura, cellist Cora Swenson Lee, and harpsichordist Jason Moy offered a musical journey across Baroque Europe through the works of Biber, Leonarda, Boismortier, and Handel.

A native of Costa Rica, Gabriela Vargas is currently a flute and chamber music coach at the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras in addition to keeping her private studio in Chicago. Commended for his “perceptive pianism” (Audiophile), Kuang-Hao Huang is a highly sought-after collaborative pianist whose performances have taken him throughout the world.
