This week, Bill plays his favorite recordings, those that have found their way into his “Keepers Box.” Bill’s inbox is overflowing with albums sent by friends from around the world. We will hear an eclectic mix of music full of upcoming stars, as well as established masters. Robert Stallman will perform a solo flute piece by Marin Marais (1656 – 1728), composer and director of the opera orchestra at the court of Louis XIV. We will enjoy Paquito D’Rivera’s “Kites over Havana” performed by the Imani Winds, and “Go Way From My Window” sung by Joan Baez with Sharon Isbin on the guitar. Our theme here is beautiful music.
