Halka, Stanisław Moniuszko's 1847 work, is often considered among the Polish Romantic Era's best operas. The tragic opera tells the story of a peasant girl, Halka, betrayed by a nobleman, Janusz. This recording — which features Magdalena Molendowska and Łukasz Goliński under the baton of conductor Gabriel Chmura — was released in 2021.
