Mäkelä Conducts The Firebird

In his CSO debut, Klaus Mäkelä conducts Anders Hillborg‘s Eleven Gates, Prokofiev’s Second Violin Concerto with Daniel Lozavovich—also in his CSO debut—and Stravinsky‘s The Firebird. Closing out the broadcast, three legendary CSO principals—Edward Druzinsky, Donald Peck, and Clark Brody—are featured in Ravel‘s Introduction and Allegro for Harp, Flute, Clarinet, and String Quartet under the baton of seventh music director Jean Martinon.
