Monday, December 12 — Chris Reynolds

American pianist Chris Reynolds has made a name for himself as both a soloist and a collaborator. His performances have been hailed by Opera News as “exquisite” and played with “jaw-dropping virtuosity.” He recently began his third and final season at Lyric Opera of Chicago as ensemble pianist for the Ryan Opera Center.

Tuesday, December 13 — Northside Brass

In 2019, the Chicago-based Northside Brass released Christmas Carols for Brass as an homage to the brilliant 1967 release Festive Carols for Brass by the Philadelphia Brass ensemble. Utilizing similar recording techniques, Northside Brass hoped to emulate the brilliance, beauty, and joy heard on the Philadelphia album.

Wednesday, December 14 — Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concert Series: Reed TetzloffReed Tetzloff, Piano

Pianist Reed Tetzloff, “an artist of broad musical tastes and individuality,” (South Florida Classical Review) has been praised for his “richly communicative” performances (The Cincinnati Enquirer). He came to international attention at the 2015 Tchaikovsky Competition, where he was dubbed “the lyric hero of the competition.”
