Marta Aznavoorian (L) and Ani Aznavoorian (R)
Cellist Ani Aznavoorian and pianist Marta Aznavoorian present a program celebrating Armenian composers and honoring the duo’s family heritage. “Most Armenians have an extraordinarily strong sense of being Armenian, even if we weren’t born there. We both have a strong sense of what it means to be Armenian,” said Marta Aznavoorian. The concert, recorded at Nichols Concert Hall, features works from the duo’s album (Cedille Records) and includes the world premiere performance of Peter Boyer’s Mount Ararat.
The program also includes a performance by pianist Inna Faliks. Learn more about Marta Aznavoorian and Inna Faliks’s upcoming concert Celebrating Music Institute of Chicago Luminaries at this link.
