Mon, 8/28 — Millar Brass Ensemble
The Millar Brass Ensemble was founded in 1981. The players that make up the ensemble are highly regarded as many of the top freelance musicians in Chicago. The individual members have performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Grant Park Orchestra, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, and a host of other regional orchestras and chamber groups.

Wed, 8/30 — Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concert Series: Amir Hoshang Farsi and Yun Janice Lu
Iranian and Pakistani American flutist Amir Hoshang Farsi’s playing has been described as having a “beautiful sound and personal sense of expression” (New York Classical Review). Yun Janice Lu is regarded as one of the leading Taiwanese pianists of her age. She was a semi-finalist at the prestigious 2018 Geneva International Music Competition in Switzerland.

Thurs, 8/31 — Lincoln Trio
The celebrated Chicago-based Lincoln Trio—made up of violinist Desirée Ruhstrat, cellist David Cunliffe, and pianist Marta Aznavoorian—takes its name from their home, the land of Lincoln. The trio, formed in 2003, has been praised for its polished presentations of well-known chamber works and its ability to forge new paths with contemporary repertoire.
