CHICAGO – September 7, 2023 – Window To The World Communications, Inc. (WWCI), parent organization of 98.7WFMT and wfmt.com, announced today that president and CEO Sandra Cordova Micek has selected Roger Wight for the position of WFMT head of programming and operations effective September 11, 2023. Wight will be responsible for strategic programming, production, broadcasting operations, and syndication for the organization.
“After a diligent and thoughtful search, we are pleased to have found the ideal individual for this key position and are looking forward to welcoming Roger Wight to WFMT,” said Micek. “Roger is a seasoned arts executive with demonstrated experience in shaping classical music programming and organizational vision; supporting artists and creators; managing operations, finances, and administration; and building teams.”
Over the past 15 years, Wight has held administrative leadership roles at the Philadelphia Orchestra, the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, Florida’s Jacksonville Symphony, and the chamber music organization Camerata Pacifica, based in Santa Barbara, California. Before these varied experiences, Wight was the supervising producer for the Peabody Award-winning classical music radio program Performance Today and served at the Interlochen Center for the Arts as a classical music host and producer for WIAA-FM in Michigan.

Roger began his career as a classical music host and producer at WCLV-FM in Cleveland while attending The Cleveland Institute of Music.
