60 years ago this week, on November 22, 1963, President John F. Kennedy was assassinated by a sniper’s bullet in Dallas, Texas. Three days later, on WFMT, Studs Terkel presented a commemorative program he called, “A Musical Eulogy For A Young President”. Tonight, we bring you a rebroadcast of that poignant tribute. Then, we close the hour with excerpts of speeches made by John F. Kennedy, clips from broadcasts from Dallas on November 22, 1963, and finally, a song by Phil Ochs, “That Was The President .”
