One of Studs Terkel’s frequent guests over the years was the Italian operatic baritone Tito Gobbi (1913-1984). Tonight’s conversation, first heard on WFMT in 1971, took place when Mr. Gobbi was in town to direct Rossini’s Barber of Seville at the Lyric Opera of Chicago.
