Mexican living composer Arturo Márquez has reached a high level of popularity due to the success of his orchestral work Danzón No.2. However, Arturo has composed a whole series of danzónes plus other pieces inspired by the popular music of his native country, Mexico, and from other regions of Latin America. On this program we will hear the Danzón Nos. 3 and 4 and his Cello Concerto featuring Carlo Prieto.
