Paul Carroll (1926–1996) was an American poet and teacher who founded the Poetry Center of Chicago in 1968. He won the Chicago Poet’s Award in 1985. When he was Studs Terkel’s guest on WFMT in 1986, he and Studs read selections from Carroll’s latest book, The Garden of Earthly Delights, much of which he wrote in the heart of Chicago’s Lincoln Park.
