Chicago a cappella has announced its plans for the 2024–2025 season. Across three programs, the ensemble mines early music, prose, and jazz inspirations in performances in Chicago, Evanston, Oak Park, and Naperville.

In September, the season launches with Lamentations, centered around a performance of Thomas Tallis’s Lamentations of Jeremiah featuring dancers from woman and minority-run Chicago-area troupe Ballet 5:8.

The ensemble shares a holiday program from December 6 to December 14; Holidays a cappella revolves around an adaptation of Dylan Thomas’ book A Child’s Christmas in Wales featuring actor Greg Vinkler.

In the spring, the ensemble closes out the season with a program exploring a variety of jazz traditions, including modern works, big band, and more.
