Mon, 10/14 — His Majesty’s MenMembers of the ensemble His Majesty's Men performing a concert at a church

Brought together in 2016, His Majesty’s Men are ensemble-in-residence at St. John Cantius Church in Chicago. They sing countertenor, tenor, and bass, a voicing which enables them to come close to the original sound and performing pitch of much early vocal music. At the same time, they are strongly committed to the best modern music and commissions.

Tues, 10/15 — Third Coast Percussion

Since 2005, Third Coast Percussion has performed over a thousand concerts around the world and at home in Chicago. The ensemble educates thousands of students of all ages each year, and has commissioned over 100 new works.

Wed, 10/16 — Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concert Series: Sohui Yun and Sunmi HanSohui Yun, viola and Sunmi Han, piano

Korean violist SoHui Yun is quickly becoming a sought after chamber musician and soloist, performing frequently across the United States, Asia, and Europe. Sunmi Han has appeared as a soloist with orchestras in Europe. She is currently pursuing a Doctoral of Musical Art degree under Gilbert Kalish at Stony Brook University, where she also serves as a Teaching Assistant.
