Pianist Llewellyn Sánchez-Werner has been called “a gifted virtuoso” (San Francisco Chronicle) with “mesmerizing artistry and extraordinary ability to communicate” (The Post-Standard). He a First Prize Winner of the 2022 Concert Artists Guild International Competition, and a 2014 honoree of the Gilmore Young Artist Award. Since making his concerto debut at age 6, this multi-faceted artist has displayed his craft worldwide in a vast array of projects and venues. Llewellyn Sánchez-Werner comes to Chicago to helm “Day of the Dead LIVE!,” a multi-arts festival celebrating Día de los Muertos, the holiday of family remembrance. His Live From WFMT debut performance will include music by European and Mexican composers.
