Pianist Kayoung An performs works by J. S. Bach arranged by Egon Petri, Johannes Brahms, Robert Schumann arranged by Franz Liszt, and George Gershwin arranged by Earl Wild live from the Seventeenth Church of Christ, Scientist, Chicago.
Pianist Kayoung An is renowned for her “passionate,” “expressive,” “bold,” and “sensitive” performances, as noted by critics following her collaboration with the Bayerische Kammerphilharmonie. Described as possessing “elegance” and “fire” (Music Review, August 2017), she has toured extensively across Korea with this orchestra and has performed with esteemed ensembles, including the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, Seoul Symphony Orchestra, Cleveland Institute of Music (CIM) Orchestra, Seoul Philharmonians, Amadeo Philharmonic Society, Bar Harbor Festival String Orchestra, Contemporary Repertoire Orchestras, and the Morning Heights Chamber Orchestra.
Dr. Kayoung An has been a member of the piano faculty of Manhattan School of Music’s pre-college Division since 2022.
