Join Kerry Frumkin for the season finale of Live From WFMT. Kerry’s guest is pianist and musicologist, Dr. Samantha Ege, whose latest book, South Side Impresarios, showcases Chicago composers such as Florence Price and Margaret Bonds during a golden era in Chicago’s classical music history. Dr. Ege will play Florence Price’s Sonata in E minor. We’ll also hear selections from her latest recording, Maestra, including her performances of the piano concertos of Julia Perry and Doreen Carwithen.
