In late July 1985, WFMT received a shipment of recordings from Glasgow, Scotland. This windfall of musical riches was a present from Hamish Henderson, who was known as the founding father of Scotland’s twentieth century folk renaissance. And it provided the material for a memorable hour that Studs Terkel filled with Scottish poetry and folk music, including songs highlighting the verve and spirit of the great ballad singer, Jeannie Robertson.
