Oboist Oliver Talukder brings a unique blend of cultural influences to the world of classical music. In May 2025, Oliver captured the top prize in Cedille Records’ Emerging Artist Competition, earning a recording contract and the opportunity to release his debut solo album on the internationally acclaimed label. This forthcoming project is more than a personal milestone — it’s a testament to his Mexican and Bengali heritage, and upbringing in Chicago.
