Hailed by the Washington Post for his “poised and imaginative playing,” pianist Victor Santiago Asunción is also an internationally respected recital collaborator. Victor recently established the American Recital Debut Award as a means to champion the careers of exceptional emerging classical musicians, and to honor the memory of his longtime chamber music partner, the great American cellist Lynn Harrell. On December 13, 2025, Victor will join ARD award honoree, Gabriel Martins, as the Brazilian-American cellist makes his debut at Carnegie Hall. Tonight on Live From WFMT, the duo performs repertoire by Fauré, Ginastera, Mozart, and Brahms.
