Pianist and composer Michael Stephen Brown takes a break from his busy concert touring to return to Live From WFMT. He’ll share two works from his forthcoming album of his own music, Twelve Blocks—Four Lakes for Children, inspired by the children of Yaddo, and Pour Angeline. The program also features music by Ravel, Chopin, and Mendelssohn, along with the world premiere of a new piece by Michael’s longtime mentor Samuel Adler. Michael is currently preparing to record all of Fauré’s Nocturnes, and he’ll also perform a selection of those beautiful compositions on this broadcast.
