Studs Terkel created tonight’s historic WFMT broadcast 50 years ago, in January 1976. The program is a memorial to the extraordinary American singer, actor, athlete, author, and civil rights crusader, Paul Robeson (1898-1976). Robeson passed away, from complications following a stroke, on January 23, 1976.
